Affiliated programs Due to the immense need within the community and limited resources for providing free dental care, the Community Dental Clinic is limited in its capabilities. The organization works with the Multi-Service Center at 5th and Bryant and has established relationships with Glide Memorial and Seton Hall recovery programs, and various other non-profit groups. Patients at the Multi-Service Center must be residents at the shelter. Dental screenings are done Monday nights at the shelter on a first come, first served basis. Dental care is provided at the UCSF dental clinic on Thursday nights, and is provided with referrals given at the Monday night screenings. Supporting the CDC Sponsors: ADS Associated Dental Students, Parnassus Club/School of Dentistry Annual Fund, Chancellor's Fund, ASUC - Associated Students. Faculty: All UCSF School of Dentistry are invited to volunteer with the CDC as faculty preceptors. Faculty are need with both the Monday and Thursday night clinic. For information about volunteering please contact us by going to the contact link on the homepage. Oppurtinities to Help: As the CDC is a non-profit organization, all donations are excepted and much appreciated. Donations can be the form of financial help and dental equipment and supplies. All dontation will be tax deductable. |
